BeautyWayTees came about as an explosion of creativity that had been brewing in me for years. I started putting my photography images onto T-shirts for my family and friends, and then I found out about Amazon‘s program, Amazon Merch on Demand, & since I am retired I thought this was a perfect match! Little did I know the technical hoops I was about to jump through were daunting, but fortunately ChatGPT showed up just in time to help me with the logistics and formulating the proper language & form in which to introduce my art to the world. It has been a learning process, and way too much fun!My first entries were pictures of Native American teepees, using my own photography and photography skills to enhance and embellish the images. There is great beauty in the Native American traditional ways, and they have a saying, walk in beauty. I wanted to name my little enterprise that, but it was taken — so then I came up with BeautyWayTees. There is something magical about a lit-up teepee with a night filled with stars outside; the contrast is both stunning and artistic all on its own.
and that was only the beginning. Soon I found myself experimenting with other images — ocean waves, sunsets, flowers, and even playful designs inspired by my years on the water. What started as a small project for friends and family has turned into a joyful way of sharing my art with the world.BeautyWayTees is more than just a name to me. It reflects a way of seeing — noticing the harmony in nature, the color in ordinary moments, and the beauty in traditional ways that continue to inspire us today. Through every design, my hope is that people feel a connection not only to the shirt they’re wearing but also to the story and spirit behind it.
Each design feels like a small celebration — of color, of nature, of moments that might otherwise slip away unnoticed. Whether it’s a teepee glowing under starlight, a wave curling into the shore, or a flower captured at its peak, every image tells a story.In sharing these designs, I hope to offer more than just clothing. I hope to offer a reminder: that beauty is always around us, waiting to be noticed, honored, and shared.
This journey has been full of surprises. I never expected retirement to open a door like this — one that combines my love of photography, storytelling, and creativity into something I can share with others. What began as a hobby has grown into BeautyWayTees: a way to walk in beauty, create in joy, and invite others to do the same.
